Social Studies 7 covers Canadian history from its beginnings to the early 20th century. We look at social, economic, and political structures of a few First Nations tribes, French and British settlements, and later on of post-confederation Canada. We discuss the impact of intercultural contact in the movement of people groups both within the country and between countries. The course also addresses what it means to be a citizen in Canada and what it means to be Canadian.
